The Toshiba MK4058GSX hard drive offers 400GB of storage capacity in the standard 2.5-inch form factor, providing a high capacity and light weight solution for mobile as well as stationary computing applications. Incorporated into the Serial ATA MK4058GSX drive are new design elements that render the 5400 RPM drive nearly inaudible during operation. The MK4058GSX takes environmentally sound solutions beyond RoHS compatibility. Toshiba has eliminated hazardous halogens and specified toxic substances in the drive and optimized the MK4058GSX design for greater power efficiency over previous generation products. When compared to the most power conservative 3.5-inch desktop drives, power consumption during  ead and write operations can be reduced by as much as 70% with using the Toshiba MK4058GSX hard disk drive.
While reducing or eliminating the use of certain toxic, hazardous or controversial chemicals and materials in the drive, the MK4058GSX series is ideal for Windows and Mac OS-based notebook, All-in-One and EnergyStar desktop PCs, external storage devices and other computing.
